Roussillon

Roussillon in Provence is an incredibly beautiful village. We arrived there after our stay in the Dordogne in July of 2010 and the contrast between the 2 regions is incredible.

There are a few restaurants in Roussillon in a walking distance from our hotel, Les Sables d'Ocre.

We dined at Cafe des Couleurs. Although the food wasn't particularly memorable, the setting on a panoramic terrace with vaporizing refreshing canopy and with incredible views is unforgettable.

I am just thinking of one thing: when are we going back?

The views on the village are incredible from the Ocher path. The cliffs are red and golden and the vegetation is luxuriant. Les cigales (cicadas) can be very noisy, but then one knows one is in Provence.
